There are times a company wants to use a unique card such as the plastic business card. You can view our large selection of plastic business cards.

We offer two types of plastic business cards; a thick 30MIL PVC card and a thinner 20MILl plastic card. These cards can leave a lasting impression on the people you interact with, which in turn can make your company the first one that comes to mind when they need your product or service.

To better understand how a business may benefit from using plastic business cards, below we have listed some characteristics that make them different from standard printed paper stock business cards.

  • These cards are extremely durable. The typical plastic business card has a longer life than a traditional paper stock card, which means that your customers will retain them longer and your business’s contact details on the card will last just as long.
  • Plastic business cards can leave a lasting impression. They can have unique designs, which in turn makes it easier for your customers to remember your business. Contact our graphic designers and let us help you design your plastic business card or your next print project.
  • They impress when you hand them out. Plastic business cards are more uncommon than paper stock cards, and that’s something people notice as soon as you hand them out. This automatically makes people associate your company as one that’s different from others.
  • They have a subtle perceived value. Plastic cards feel similar to credit cards, which means that customers will associate your company with a heightened worth when they touch or look at a plastic business card.

At Primo Print, we offer a variety of paper stock to choose from for printing your business cards, brochures, postcards, letterhead and more. Selecting the appropriate stock for your print materials can be overwhelming if you’re not familiar with the paper stock.

Below we have describe the difference between uncoated and coated paper.

Coated Paper Stock

Coated paper is going to have a matte or glossy finish. This type of paper is usually very smooth and offers a slight shine and can possibly offer a high shine. Either way, this type of paper will have a great effect on the appearance of your printed material as it can improve the brightness.

By selecting a coated paper stock, it’s more resistant to wear and tear, water and dirt, allowing your printed materials looking crisp and professional. This type of stock decreases the amount of ink that’s absorbed by the paper and how the ink bleeds into the paper.

This is desirable when wanting to receive a sharp and crisp image because the ink stays on top of the paper and will not bleed which can reduce the sharpness of the printed material.

Keep in mind, with a coating it’s more difficult to write on by using a pen or pencil. For example, sometimes people like to write on the back of a printed business card and by having a coating makes it a little more difficult.

Uncoated Paper Stock

Selecting uncoated generally allows more ink to be absorbed and it’s not as smooth as coated paper. Uncoated is often used for envelopes, letterhead and additional products that often require an elegant and classy look.

Some examples include real estate brochures, stationery, restaurant menus, school bookmarks and college booklets. Keep in mind that colors will appear differently when printed on uncoated paper vs. coated paper. Below, you can see that the uncoated postcard offers fields for customers to write their name and comments.
