Indicia Requirements<\/div>\n

The USPS\u00ae requires all Every Door Direct Mail\u00ae to have an indicia (also called a mailing permit) and return address. We offer two types of Every Door Direct Mail\u00ae, and each one requires its indicia. Retail customers bring their mailing to the local post office. Print Only customers drop off their mailings at Business Mail Entry Units.<\/p>\n

The indicia must be located on the top half of your mailing piece on the same side as the return address, with 1\/8\u201d space from the top and right edge. There is no specific size requirement, but must be larger than .5\u201d x .5\u201d Additionally, the text inside must be in all caps and a font size no smaller than 4PT.<\/p>\n

We provide Every Door Direct Mail\u00ae Templates in .eps and .psd formats for both horizontal and vertical postcard layouts. For Full Service, we\u2019ve already placed the indicia on the template<\/a> for you. For Print Only, directly put the provided indicia image on one of our templates and then build your artwork around it.<\/p>\n

Postcard Templates<\/div>\n

We provide a large selection of templates for Full Service and Print Only. Using our EDDM\u00ae postcard templates<\/a> ensures that your printed piece matches every USPS\u00ae design and label requirement.<\/p>\n

Each available size has a vertical or horizontal template and includes the following: cut line, safety line, finish size and finish size with bleed. Since the indicias for Retail (Print Only) and Full Service are different, it’s recommended to download the appropriate template.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One of the best attributes of Every Door Direct Mail\u00ae is the variety of sizes; this allows you the flexibility to choose what best suits your message.<\/p>\n

Keep size and paper stock in mind when designing your mailer. You want your message and call-to-action to fit with plenty of room left over for white space and images. Oversized postcards and thick stock stand out in a customer\u2019s crowded mailbox. We recommend using a 16PT stock for your EDDM\u00ae postcards.<\/p>\n
