Holiday Gift Guide: Best gifts for the At-Home-Worker

As a remote-first company, our employees know how to work from home in style! So as we prepare for the holiday season, we reached out to our amazing staff and asked them to send in their favorite tools, gadgets, and top holiday gift ideas for the at-home worker. Hopefully, our list makes your shopping list a bit easier! Let’s take a look:

Nespresso Aeroccino 3 Frother

The Nespresso Aerocicino Frother allows me to make hot or cold foam to elevate my coffee drinks in the morning. It pays for itself repeatedly as I skip the local coffee shops in favor of making fancy drinks at the office.

Pilot Precise V5 Pens

The Pilot Precise V5 pens have been my favorite writing tool since I can remember. I am very particular about my pens and love a fine point. The ink dries quickly without smearing. While Black and Blue are my standards, I love when I come across a purple one on my desk. The purple color and fine lines make note-taking enjoyable.

Node Fitness Under Desk Exercise Bike Pedal Exerciser

I have an under-the-desk bicycle to move my legs after using the standing desk about 80% of the day.  I like this because it allows for more movement since I work from home.

Paper Mate Profile Retractable Ballpoint Pen

I love the Paper Mate Profile pens because they come in a variety of colors that make taking notes fun and easy. They also write very smoothly.

Laptop Lap Deck with Cushion and Sleeve Case

I have one of these and I love it! When I am tired of working in the office, I move to the sofa and use this!

Anti Fatigue Mat

If you have an adjustable desk, a standing mat is a must! This one in particular has textured sides and a rolling ball to massage your feet while you stand. Genius!

iRobot Roomba

I don’t own these items personally but I think the iRobot vacuums are really neat. They seem to do a good job of helping to keep everything fresh and clean.

Standing Desk

Sitting in one place all day can be harmful to your health in a lot of ways. Getting a desk that moves up and down allows you to your body moving – even when your work does not.

NETGEAR Wi-Fi Range Extender

Satechi Lightweight Aluminum Portable Laptop Stand

I love this Satechi Stand because it makes it easier to work from a laptop and desktop simultaneously. I also love that it’s portable so I can bring it when working from my laptop away from my home office space.

Satechi Compact Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard

I’ve been using this for several years as an alternative to the Apple keyboard. Comes in under $100 and shares some of the same design elements as the more expensive Magic Keyboard. The keys won’t have as much travel as Apple’s keyboard but feel good nonetheless. You can also pair 3 different devices so if you have a work computer and a personal computer, you can pair each device to a key on the keyboard. That way, you can easily switch between each device and not have to unpair and re-pair when you move from one computer to the other.
