How to Benefit from Using Door Hangers

Ensure Your Customers Get The Message

It’s easy for people to ignore many other forms of advertisement. For example, when people see advertisements on television, they often change their channel. Many people will turn their radio to another station when they hear an advertisement. Despite the fact that newspaper advertisement is still widely-used, fewer people are reading the newspaper today than in the past.

However, you can ensure your customers receive the message if you use door hangers. They will have to glance at it, and many people will take the time to read it. That is why using door hangers is one of the most effective ways you can advertise your business.

Flexibility

One of the many great things about using door hangers for advertisement is that it allows you to be flexible. There are a variety of things you can use your door hangers to promote. You can advertise your seasonal and holiday promotions. You can also use door hangers to promote the opening of your new business. There are endless possibilities.

Customizable

We offer a selection of Door Hanger Die-Cut Options: Standard, Startburst and Arch.

A benefit of printing door hangers is the ability to customize the door hanger to represent your marketing needs. You have the ability to choose the colors, fonts, images and graphics.

Before deciding on the colors, take a look at one of our previous blogs: Color Speaks Louder than Words. We also have a blog emphasizing on the importance of choosing the right font for your printed materials.

Market Small Areas

Even though any business can benefit from using door hangers, they are especially good for businesses in small areas. It will not take a lot of time to go around the community and hang door hangers. You can reach hundreds of people in a short amount of time. Not only is this relatively simple, but it is also cost-effective. Investing in this inexpensive tool can help you grow your business quickly.

Door hanger marketing is quick, easy and highly targeted. To learn more about printing custom door hangers, contact us by filling out our contact form.

Deciding which paper to use for your premium business cards, flyers, brochures and other business printed materials can be difficult. The weight of the paper plays a big role in which type you should use for the job.

Read on to learn more about selecting the right paper for your print job.

Why is the Type of Paper Important?

The type of paper you choose to print on influences several things, including:

  • Perception of your business
  • Printability and reproduction quality
  • Cost to mail the product
  • Durability
  • Appearance and feel of the paper

All of these aspects should be considered when choosing the right paper.

Color and Brightness

Color is almost as important as the type and weight of the paper you choose. White is the most popular color, but off-white is a great choice as well because it has less glare. Most novels and manuals use off-white paper.

The brightness of paper is a measurement of how much light it reflects. Generally, paper reflects between 60% and 90% of light. Brightness has a major affect on readability – the higher the level of brightness, the harder it is to read the document (bright paper also contributes to eye strain). On the other hand, low brightness can make the document look blurry.

Coating

Choose from either coated or uncoated paper; make this decision carefully, since the coating is what will affect the feel of the product. Coated products can have coating on either one or both sides; options include gloss, silk, matte and semi-matte. If you’re printing artwork or photos, any coating is fine with the exception of matte.

When deciding on the paper, below are a few questions you may want to ask yourself:

  • What is the final product? Are you making a book, posters, business cards, brochures, flyers etc?
  • What type of impression do you want to make with the document? Does it need to feel solid or is it okay if it doesn’t? Do you want a traditional product or something more creative and unique, such as letterpress?
  • How durable does the product need to be? A book, for example, should be more durable than a business card; a business card should be more durable than a special event flyer.
  • What’s going on the printed document? Is it going to be text-heavy or are you going to include photos?
