Attending a conference can help you take your business to the next level. However, there are a few things that you will have to do in order to prepare for it. Below, we’ve listed a few things to look into as you prepare for your next conference.

Define Your Conference Goals

You should think about what you want to accomplish from attending before going. Business owners often attend to network with their peers, learn new skills, discuss new products or services and possibly look into speaking opportunities. Others may want to get advice from industry experts and leaders.

Business Cards And Other Printed Materials

Conferences continue to be great for networking, so it’s important to have your business cards available and on-hand at all times. Before heading to a conference, allow yourself to take time and review them. You’ll want to make sure the information is correct.  If you need new cards printed, allow yourself enough time to get more printed. This can be an ideal time to create a new design or choose a new option for your business card. Check out the large selection of business cards. Then, select a finish or option that best represents you and your business.

Along with business cards, it’s recommended to have additional print materials to hand out. While attending, it’s easy to promote your business with printed materials. At Primo Print, we also offer a large selection of products that you may be interested in such as business brochures, custom sell sheets, notepads and presentation folders which would all work well to hand out.

Take The Stress Out of Traveling

We all know that traveling can sometimes be tedious and stressful. Fortunately, if you prepare for your trip in advance, traveling will be a lot easier. This can be done by booking your trip a few weeks before, and it may save you money by booking your hotel and flight early. Additionally, allow yourself plenty of time to get familiar with the location; this can include reviewing the traffic route to and from the conference.  You can find additional travel tips provided by the Travel Channel

Find Out About The Conference

Before attending, research the conference and the city before committing. Ask yourself: will this conference be beneficial? You can always read the reviews and if possible, try to reach out to someone who that will be attending or has attended in the past. Look at the schedule of events for each day. Often times, they serve breakfast, lunch and may include a happy hour.

Take Notes or Record Sessions

Conferences give you the opportunity to learn. Be prepared to take notes or record sessions. If taking notes, at the end of the evening, go through and organize them. You’ll want to make sure they’re easy to read and understand when you return home. For more ideas, check out Scott Berkun’s suggestions on how to take notes while attending a conference

Follow-up

If you received a business card, it’s best to reach out to them following the conference. Take a few minute and send them an email expressing how much you enjoyed meeting them.  It’s always good to follow up, as it can lead to a strong business relationship.

There are hundreds of conferences and events happening year-round. Below a few upcoming conferences you may interested in attending. Make sure your business cards are printed and ready to hand out!

When you want to be an expert or a leading force in the real estate industry, you need an effective real estate marketing strategy. The use of print materials can draw the attention of buyers and also provide customer leads, which can turn into sales.

At Primo Print, we offer a variety of printing supplies including business cards, brochures, flyers, and EDDM postcards to assist your marketing plan. But before selecting the products, make sure you have created a thorough real estate marketing strategy. Below are some recommendations when starting the process.

  • Establish goals that your marketing plan intends to achieve
  • Create a detailed real estate market analysis
  • Compile a complete competitor analysis
  • Come up with a budget for marketing material
  • Research and get an understanding of your target audience

Implement the Marketing Plan

Branding and visibility are crucial in the world of real estate, and at Primo Print, we can help you reach potential customers. We recommend you incorporate a few or all of the following print products to ensure you’ll have an effective marketing plan.

Brochures: The buyers and sellers will take notice if you have beautifully, well designed brochures that target a particular market segment. It’s equally important to make sure that each printed piece is of the highest print quality. Read a previous blog on what it takes to create an effective brochure.

Business Cards: Printing realtor business cards allow you to make a first and lasting impression for you and your real estate agency. It’s important to always keep them on hand. We offer a large selection of premium business cards. Choose from our 14PT, 16PT, 22PT, and even 32PT thick paper stock and finishes including spot UV, inline foil, stamped foil, matte, uncoated and more.

Flyers: Place real estate flyers at the places where the passers-by are most likely to pick up promotional and advertisement materials. Flyers are great for displaying property images, information and realtor contact information.

Real Estate Yard Signs: Brand the signs with your company name for maximum advertisement effect. Our signs are as low as $2 each and printed full color on either 4mm or a thicker 10mm coroplast. H-stake stands are available.

Postcards: Distribute real estate postcards in neighborhoods to inform potential buyers about current property listings and your agency. We also offer Every Door Direct Mail Postcards®. EDDM® postcards are an easy and cost-effective way for realtors to target buyers and sellers through the mail. Postcards could focus on what you offer your customers, properties you’ve sold in the area, or properties that you currently have for sale in their neighborhood.

Door Hangers: These are great marketing tools. Custom door hangers offer enough space to include business information, property details and images. Bring your message to their front door with full color door hangers.

Sell Sheets: Promote and build awareness with our full color sell sheets. We offer fast turnarounds, with no minimums. Prices are as low as .15¢ each. You can utilize both sides of the sheet with property information or why someone should choose you to represent them.

Presentation Folders: They are an excellent marketing tool as a leave behind reminder of your business and property listing. Or, after meeting with customers/potential customers, they will have something to store all of the information you give them, ie: copies of contracts, flyers, vendor recommendations, etc. All are available with your choice of 1 or 2 pockets as well as business card slits. Keep all your marketing materials in one place with custom presentation folders.

Graphic Design
One of the best things a real estate agent can do when putting together their marketing material is make sure all pieces are well branded. Every piece you produce should all tie together and work cohesively together. This will help get you known by your community and establish you as a household name. This can be a difficult task, but know that we are always available to assist. Our team of graphic designers can work with you to create all of the above pieces and more. The bottom line is this: your marketing dollars will only go where you want them to.

There is no question that the postcards are a great tool for marketing, but it is even better for a Real Estate agent. Below are just a few reasons why.

  • You are thinking about a past client or a future one. Clients are all potential buyers, which is why EDDM® can be used to keep your name on their radar.
  • Maybe you have your eye on another neighborhood to expand your possibilities, where you can advertise yourself as the person to go to if the homeowner is interested in either selling or trading up.
  • Because nothing is set in stone, you can promote your Real Estate business in one area and change it if the response is not what you expected.
  • You can also implement technology into your EDDM® by adding quick response codes where you can lead your potential buyer to other areas for possible business opportunities like a website or even a quick dial to a phone number that they can talk to someone at the other end.

The possibilities are endless, and the results are positive, which is why EDDM® is fast becoming the wave of the marketing future.
